This event takes place at Kilmartin House Museum in an area rich in pre-historic standing stones well as dark skies. It will feature:

Daytime and evening activities for families

Astronomy workshop for tourism businesses and community groups

Friday 16th March:

7 – 8.30pm - Family stargazing - with lots of astro-stuff whatever the weather! Booking is advised - please come dressed for the outdoors.

Saturday 17th March:

12 – 4pm - Hourly sessions in the starlab & comet-making

12 – 5pm - Drop in activities including: Star umbrellas, Rocketmaking, NASA protective clothes, Meteorite handling, Stars on sticks, Constellation boxes and Constellation telescopes

6.30pm - Discussion on the historical view of astronomy and the landscape

7pm - Family stargazing at Temple Wood Stone Circle (bus provided). Lots of astro-stuff whatever the weather! Booking is advised - please come dressed for the outdoors.

8 - 8.30pm - Ilustrated talk on modern astronomy - with constellation activities for children
